Audio / Visual Living

Audio Visual Update: March 2012

At the end of 2011, the people of Lakeshore had the opportunity to make a financial commitment to our very first end-of-the-year giving opportunity.  We’re very glad to announce that $142,300 was pledged in both upfront gifts and during-the-year gifts throughout 2012.

Because of the generosity of the individuals and families who are a part of “AV”, we will be giving $50,000 this year to many of our missionaries so that they may enhance their ability to reach people all over the world (for a list of our missionaries and where they serve, see the “Audio Visual Living Mission Input” box below and scroll down inside it to see the presentation).

Additionally, part of our “AV” missionary support will go to fund our new partnership with ORPHANetwork next year (2013).  This ministry helps to care for poor and hungry children in Nicaragua.  In case you haven’t heard, our first gift to ORPAHNetwork for this year (2012) came from the proceeds of our very own Waves Café!

Because the list of internal Lakeshore projects was greater than the amount pledged to “AV”, we have to be selective about what we do.  We’re hoping to continue work on the “Multi-Purpose Room” sound treatment project to help our children and students have an improved learning environment.  We’re also working on the first phase of our Auditorium enhancement project.  We’ll have more details as they come in.

Thanks for your commitment to “AV”!  As you give, you are helping people in Rochester and around the world both “hear and see God’s love through US!”

Too often, the church and Christians have been known just by what we say. And sometimes, our words have exclusively reflected what we’re against. Wouldn’t it be more effective for our efforts, more impactful for the world, and most pleasing to God if we were people who (alongside our words) lovingly demonstrated the truth of God to those in need?

Audio Visual Living: Fall/Winter 2011

What would it look like to live an “actions speak louder than words” life? We’ll look at the marks of this kind of life in our series, “Audio Visual Living”.

For those who call Lakeshore Community Church home, we have a number of resources available to you. Below you’ll see that we have:

*the “A.V.” brochure.
*short videos from Sr. Pastor Vince DiPaola explaining aspects of “A.V.”
*the “Power Of A Whisper” session #5 and #6 videos produced by the church that tell the story of how God worked in incredible ways when Lakeshore began (each about 15 minutes in length).
*other items that will help you in this spiritual journey.

Let’s make “Audio Visual” living a top priority so we can grow together in our mission to “turn the indifferent into difference-makers for Christ”… everywhere we can on earth!
